    Sports Com facilitated the participation in Valhalla a national level B-school sports fest at XLRI. A faculty/staff-students Sports meet was conductd on the occasion of August 15 which included Cricket, Badminton, Chess and Volley Ball. Conducted an inter-section sports tournament exclusive for the first year students across campuses. Conducted a Faculty-Students cricket match on Jan 26 Athlos 7.0 generated a lot of PR for the university. It attracted a lot of alumni to the campus who participated in almost all the events.

  • XQUIZZITE

    Key Achievements

    • Rachit Jain &SankalpMohanty (Core Members) stood All India First in the prelims of the Ernst & Young Business Quiz 2015 conducted by Ernst & Young online.
    • Conducted external events for corporate audience, school students, general public and alumni. Conducted Cross Functional Quizzing League for B-Schools for the first time. And is a on-going activity
    • Successfully conducted online 100 day countdown quizzing night (Lanciare) for Xpressions15 promotions.
    • Conducted quizzes for various committees like ILLUMINATIX, X-FIN, X-OPS, and IRC.
    • Launched a Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/xquizzite.ximb) with 3413 followers as on 30th Jan, 2016. And a blog (www.xquizzite.blogspot.in)

  • SPEAKUP (The Oratory Club)

    Sailing-my-Internship – a new edition this year where the seniors share their internship experience with the juniors, with insights/ tips to crack company interviews for the internship process. VAANI with a unique theme with prepared speech, extempore etc. were conducted. A unique Spoken Word Poetry Workshop in association with Bakul Foundation, teaching the students the art of Spoken Word Poetry. XANSAD, the Parliamentary Debate competition was conducted in September, drawing excitement and participation from the students. Mr. Harsha Bhogle, the renowned cricket commentator and motivational speaker visited the institute during Sanidhya Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Alumni association during October. Model United Nations was conducted for the very first time at XUB during Xpressions’16 in November which saw a huge and diverse participation from the colleges in Orissa and outside the state.

  • X-SEED, the Idea and Initiative Cell

    KICKSTART - Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive - 12th July 2015, aims at raising awareness about entrepreneurship amongst the students and encourages them to turn their dreams into reality. The speakers for the occasion were Mr. Chandrashekhar Mishra, Founder, Canyon Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. and Crux Power; Mr. Anshu Gupta, Founder, Goonj and Mr. Subasish Mishra, MD, Techno5 Ltd. and Joint Secretary, TiE Bhubaneswar.

    • Start-up Weekend Boot Camp Bhubaneswar - 23th July 2015, powered by Google for entrepreneurs
    • SW Bootcamp - Customer Validation and Ideation Workshop was conducted on 12th August 2015
    • Start-up Weekend Bhubaneswar a global network of leaders and entrepreneurs which helps budding entrepreneurs start up their venture was hosted 14th-16th August
    • Interactive session on "Fund Raising for Startups" on 29th September 2015 by Mr. SubratKar, Co-Founder & CEO, Vidooly.
    • Udaymita, the Business and Entrepreneurship Quiz Competition by X-SEED in collaboration with X-Quizzite on 31st October 2015
    • Open Doors Session in association with Unitus Seed Fund. The investment and sourcing team of USF engaged in a conversation with entrepreneurs around “The Balancing Act for Startups and the Investors’ Ask” on 29th January 2016.

  • LitSoc

    A micro-story writing competition was organized seeing the interests of the current generations. Bookstalls were put up in both the campuses in association with Walking Bookfairs to help students develop a habit of reading. Ensured students get to experience writings of different forms by helping the Literary Festivals in Bhubaneswar reach out to the right audience, both for the New Indian Express and Tata Steel. Many article writing contests were also organized that were open to students from all over the country. Partnered with SRC to organize an online event for World AIDS Day to spread awareness about the matter. Many author interactions were organized with eminent authors visiting our campuses like Mr. Ruskin Bond, Ravinder Singh and PreetiShenoy.

  • X-Stage

    • X-Stage showcased exhilarating performances at Valhalla'15(XLRI) by winning 7 out of 8 events participated in. Nukkadnatak, Group dance and Ramp show being few of them.
    • X-Capade2015 helped spot hidden talents in the junior batch in various cultural activities.
    • Nukkadnatakon Independence day as well as on World Humanitarian day in front of The World mall at Bhubaneswar to spread the message of peace, harmony and humanity.
    • Salsa workshops, a week long extravaganza, were conducted on both the campuses.
    • Hosted Mr. RajatKapoor for a cinema workshop at the XIMB campus..
    • Aaghaz, Carnival de Vogue, Decibelz, Goonj and Thirkan, conducted by X-Stage, saw participation from various colleges during Xpressions 2015
    • A theatrical play by the very famous Indian Ensemble Theatre was hosted on 20thFebrary

  • EXEMPLAR – THE COMPETITIONS COMMITTEE

    A new Committee, established in August 2015 the committee comprises of students who are past winners or have done well in various competitions. The aims to bring more corporate competitions on campus working in sync with the Student Placement Committee. Conducting workshops on ‘Presentation skills’ and ‘Approaching a case study’ to assist students in preparing for national level corporate competitions. Preparatory session for the competition Godrej Loud, Mahindra War Room, SAB Miller, Tata Steelathon, TCS Casewiz, CapgeminiAegon and a session for HUL Carpe Diem were conducted.

    • Photography workshop on Basics of photography - Photography workshop organized by the best photographers of XLens in both both campuses to teach the fundamentals of photography
    • Professional photography workshop by Sony - Professional photography workshop conducted by Sony Alpha team
    • Express - Organised an inter college photography contest during Xpressions
    • Workshop on digital post processing - Workshop on the understanding and application of digital post processing using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop
