  • CAS Committee

    The Career Advisory Committee (CAS) is responsible for facilitating the corporate interface for the students. The responsibilities include – corporate engagement activities like leadership talks, corporate competitions, guest lectures, summer internship placement process and final placement process (Xuberance).

    Major Events: hosted were Godrej Loud Launch, Mahindra War room Launch, Deloitte Maverick, East region, MWR Campus Evaluation Round, Leadership talks by HUL, Vodafone, HSIL, Loreal Brandstrom.

    RM CAS Committee:

    Major Events: conducted by the committee were Xuberance 2017 - Final Placement process for the selection of full-time hires by industry partners; Batch 2016-18- hosting the SIP placement

  • Alumni Committee

    The Alumni Committee has been an integral part in the functioning of this institution and played an instrumental role in fostering the bond between the present past and future generation of graduating students.

    The Major Activities: conducted by the committee were Sanidhya hosted in 6 different cities, concluded with a grand finale at Sanidhya-Bhubaneswar in Nov 2016; the Batch 1991 "Grand Home Coming" was held on the 26th-27th of December 2016; Periodical "X-Post" and annual magazine "Unnayan" was released; As a part of Xpressions'16 an online quiz "EnigmaX" was conducted for the alumni; launch of the yearbook "Reminiscence".

  • Rural Management Alumni Committee

    The committee organized: Pratibimb on 29th March & the year book was distributed to the out-going batch; Margdarshan, SIP Mentorship Program held during March-first week of April; Anubhav, Sharing of Xuberance experience was held on 15th April; Sanidhya was hosted on 6 different cities, Hyderabad & Chennai 7th May with BM Alcom, Kilkata 14th May with Alcom, Delhi 21st May with BM Alcom, Bangalore 28th May with Alcom, Mumbai 4th June with Alcom ; Orientation Program for the fresher’s was held on 16th-20th June 2016; Know your Alumni Online was held during first week of July 2016; Alumni talk in the XUB Campus was held during the first week of July & August; Dighir Ganguly Memorial Film Making Challenge online was held first week of August 2016; Abhivyakti was held on 21st August with RMAX; Gramotsava, Social Marketing Live Project with field visit was held on 29th Sept 2016; Sanidhya-Bhubaneswar was held on 15th Oct 2016 with BM Alcom; Fifth National Symposium on Rural Management was held on November 18th,19th 2016.

  • IlluminatiX -Media & PR Cell

    lluminatiX, the Media and PR cell, is instrumental in maintaining and further building the media & public relations of XUB and its Schools.


    Major Events organized by the committee:

    Mentorship Programme for New joinees- The year started with making the joining process of new students smooth by handling their queries and branding XUB; an interface of communication between the Admissions Office and prospective students. In a new initiative an informal session named 'Rendezvous', extending a warm welcome to the new batch, was conducted in various cities across India

    Communiqué – The Media Conclave-giving the students a peek into the world of media and digital branding. It hosted speakers like Mr. Vishnu Som, Mr. A.S Panneerselvan among several other honorable personalities.

    TEDx XIMB - An achievement which added a feather to the cap was TEDx XIMB.– The 4th edition of the event was held on 15th January, 2017 with budding entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and thoughts with bright minds.

    XPRESSIONS 2016 – Xpressions in 60 seconds – An RJ hunt and The Final Cut – A short film making contest, apart from the regular media partnership and leading design and branding of events.

  • International Relations Committee

    During the year 2016, eight students from XIMB, XUB opt for the student exchange programs with IÉSEG School of Management, Paris and Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. IRC facilitated the exchange program and related formalities. Other activities : During Xpressions 2016, IRC organized an event called Foot of Fury which not only saw huge participation but was greatly appreciated; A talk by Dr. Simran Kahai, Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Finance at John Carroll University was arranged on the topic - “Is the global economy really global?”.
